Rima Bartkiene Fine Art Artist

The Artist Statement
As far as I remember myself, I always wanted to be an artist. I started painting very early in childhood, but it was not possible to continue studies. The surrounding people's attitudes, then the family, then again something else still did not allow to take into hand brush and palette. Thus went until I finally found myself in the “New World".
With full force, I have dived into art education. Everything I have learned about creativity and the painting I learned to study sets of literature about artists’ lives and their works, listening to different well-known artists lectures. I have had private lessons from renowned American impressionist Candace Lovely. It helped me to find myself.
Themes for painting and inspiration I find not only traveling, but also in everyday life. As an artist, I feel the need to discover new means of expression, so I do not favor one style to other. I did some works with a pastel. However, in recent years I prefer the oil.
